Our Services: Dermal Fillers
Juvéderm
As we age, our skin changes. Over time, the natural
volume of youthful skin begins to diminish as wrinkles and folds
form. But, with Juvéderm injectable
gel, you don't have to just sit back and let it happen!
Juvéderm is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acida
naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and
hydration. Your healthcare professional eases Juvéderm injectable
gel under the skin to instantly restore your skin's volume and smooth away
facial wrinkles and folds, like your "smile lines" or "parentheses" (nasolabial
foldsthe creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners
of your mouth).
Juvéderm provides a smooth, natural look and feel, so
everyone will notice (but no one will know)! In fact, studies show
superior results of Juvéderm compared to a collagen-based dermal
filler.†
- Almost 90% of all study volunteers who were treated
with both Juvéderm injectable gel and another dermal filler† preferred
Juvéderm!
- Juvéderm injectable gel is
the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is
proven to be safe and effective for persons of color.
Immediate Results
With Juvéderm the injection process takes only about 15 minutes
and results are immediate. Plus, there's minimal recovery or downtime.
So you can step into your doctor's office for treatment and step
right back into your life.
*Juvéderm is indicated for injection
into the mid to deep dermis for correction of moderate to severe facial
wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds).

Restylane Injections
Restylane is a dermal filler that restores volume to the skin, giving a
smoother, more youthful appearance. Restylane treatments last up to 60%
longer than ordinary collagen, which makes it unsurprising that Restylane
has earned a much higher customer satisfaction rating than collagen in comparative
surveys.
What is Restylane?
Restylane is considered a premier wrinkle filler because it is a safe, temporary, non-animal form of Hyaluronic acid gel, and is a naturally occurring substance that binds water to cells. Restylane is injected to fill out creases and lines. Restylane is not to be confused with Botox, which basically paralyzes muscles. The combination of these two treatments work well together. The most common areas treated are lips, nasal labial folds, smile lines, and drooping corners of the mouth.
Are there any side effects?
Restylane has minimal side effects, the most common of which is slight bruising, which is seen in about 20% of patients. The injection hurts more than collagen because collagen has anesthetic. Less common side effects include allergic reactions, but this is very rare. Some patients experience an infection or a cold sore due to the injection of the needle. Additionally, there maybe a little swelling after the needle is injected, which resolves within a day or two.
Are there any areas of the face on which Restylane cannot be used?
Restylane is excellent for all areas of the face that have fine lines. For the very small lines that bleed lipstick on the upper lip, Restylane Fine Line is used. It is not as dense as Restylane, but works magic on fine upper lips.
Why is Restylane better than collagen?
Restylane is better than collagen because it is a smooth, clear gel and "flows" when it is injected and goes in very evenly. Most importantly, it can last six months or longer. Restylane is an excellent wrinkle filler and wrinkles can be "filled in" as needed. With collagen, you have to over correct because of the anesthetic it contains. As the anesthetic is absorbed the results decreases, therefore it can be difficult to achieve the desired results.
In one U.S. clinical study, Restylane outperformed a collagen-based substance by 6 to 1. Collagen can also cause allergic reactions. Because Restylane is a non-animal based gel created in the lab, the likelihood of allergic side effects are minimal.
How long does Restylane last?
How long the effect of Restylane treatment lasts is dependant upon the individual. It varies based upon many factors such as the structure of the skin, lifestyle and age, as well as on the degree of perfection demanded by the individual. However, we know that for the majority of the patients treated about 50-80% of the effect remains after 6 months. Most people choose to have a touch-up done within a year of the original treatment.
The great thing about Restylane is that you can replenish your natural beauty whenever you feel the need. A touchup can be performed any time you would like after the initial treatment.
What is the Restylane treatment like?
The treatment takes about
30 minutes and the result is prompt. When treating
wrinkles, pain relief is usually not needed, but can be
easily achieved. The treated area may be slightly
swollen and red for 12-24 hours. For further details
